In this program, we add FDA approved medications to aid in the patient's weight reduction goals. These weight loss medications are classified as either appetite suppressants or absorption blockers. They may be a safe and successful tool as adjunct therapy along with one of our dietary plans, which incorporates nutrition, behavior changes and exercise. Clinical studies show that the use of such agents in combination with a supervised nutritional plan leads to significantly more weight loss than either diet or medication alone. It is important to understand that appetite suppressants alone will not lead to sustained weight loss.
Mike - age 40
Today is June 27, 2008. Since March 17 of this year, I've lost a total of 64 pounds thanks to Dr. Theo's thoughtful guidance and support. While she told me my loss was not typical, it was also due in part to daily exercise, eating breakfast (which Dr. Theo highly encourages) and not eating after 5pm. Thanks again - I'd refer her office anytime.
