After Pregnancy
Most new moms are eager to put away their maternity clothes and get back to their pre-pregnancy body. Retaining even a pound or two of extra weight around your waistline can be more dangerous than you think. Waist circumference also called central adiposity is directly correlated with an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes. Women who have had babies are unfortunately more likely to have their waistline expand. Weight loss after pregnancy takes time, but it is possible. This may be more difficult for some especially with new responsibilities, and often times lack of enough sleep and energy. Medically supervised weight loss can help those new moms who need added structure and support to get back to a healthier physique.
